Default vert headers

ok, so i really want to get some headers for my car and i want to have the best of both worlds so im goin for street legal, whp makes decently priced headers and catted y-pipes for A4 verts?

Pacesetter with catted y from texasspeed.com

you can never be street legal with longtubes because with longtubes you have to move the Cats back which makes it illegal

the only headers that are legal are shorties since they dont move the cats from thier factor position

ya i put my pacesetters on yesterday and my y hasnt came in yet so im on strait headers for a day or 2 but i am going with an ORY but definatly get pacesetters the install is very easy just do a little research like on the driverside there is a small little block on the bottom of the engine block that you have to take a small piece off in order to get them in but other than that its easy just time consuming and from what i have heard TSP catted y is good but any header will fit on verts it dont matter, headers arnt jelous of your stunning good looks like everyone else....

in what state..becuase you can move cats here in texas all day long..

It is a federal regulation but as with certain fed regs, states often ignore them. Many people who mod exhausts use cats and tune their engines, I would think that would be better for the environment but here in ca the bureaucratic machine won't budge I don't get it here, medical marijuana OK, moving cats NOT OK. Rant Off

With a jack to lift up the drivers side engine bout 1/2 inch..........you wouldn't have to cut anything.

I have same setup with ORY from TSP on my car.......Pacesetters are by far the easiest to install out of 6 different headers I've done on buddies cars

I have SLP's. I can't say I would recommend them though. They were banging on the floor when you get on it. When I split the Y pipe to put on the 4" Mufflex adapter I altered the pipe so it was lower on the drivers side which did solve the problem.

I'm running QTP's, can't say much for their Y pipe but the headers are awesome. Stainless Steel never rusts.....

I have the best of both worlds with my FLP LT headers. I can run cats all day long and switch out to race pipes at anytime. I'm not sure flp still makes the headers but if not I may be going to Kooks with their catted y so I may sell mine. I picked up 27rwhp with them running the cats.
