Vert Help
yep, verts supposedly weigh in about 140 or so lbs more than a comparable hard top.
I believe the general rule is 0.1 second penalty for every 100 lbs therefore about .14 sec AVERAGE difference.
At higher speeds we'll have a slight aero penalty though too, even more so with the top down.
Still well worth it though IMO, especially here in San Diego

its kind of wierd that for my car (BMW M6), the 0-60 for the vert is 4.6 seconds, yet the coupe of 4.8. Just like the gallardo spyder and the regualr gallardo. The spyder is faster. Dont ask me why, it is like this.

Yes, its like those cool GM factory workers knew to make our Ecu's a little hotter than the coupe's to more than make up for the weight penalty. I haven't any trouble with 05 &06 Goats or coupe's, even 6-speeds. Of course I realize I could just be lucky. Stock with a lid & muffler & A4 with 3.23 gears. Oh yeah, I've had about 45 years of experience street racing.
