Default Ss Vert Compared To Z/28 Vert

Has there been any test done to compare top speed differences between stock SS and stock Z/28 convertible's ?
Just wondering if maybe the taller rear spoiler might actually help in a top speed run .

very hard to accurately measure, in part because the SS has a better exhaust for a few more ponies.

That said, I believe the wings are for show and not very functional.

not sure how much the spoiler has to do with it, but with the top down on the ss, 140mph makes the car feel really glued to the road compared to with the top up.
i'm thinking the rear part of the cabin allows for some serious downforce.
anyone know enough about airflow to confirm or shoot down my hypothesis?

What's it matter? If you drive 140+ ever, you better have a lot of suspension mods that make the question irrelevant.

now if we could only get a list of the recommended suspension mods to make an fbody "safe" to drive at 140+... then i'd be set.

I encountered the same effect at 130-140 range with the top down. I seemed glued down and with top up it was a little bit "floaty" in comparison but not that bad.

a spoiler will always help. bigger is usually better for stability.
