Default RaggTopp

So I FINALLY got around to spraying my top with the RaggTopp protectant. It feels as though I used up about half the canister with only 3 coats. Did I use too much? I followed the instructions using smooth sweeping motions.

I got mine from Amazon. Same price as other sites, but free shipping.

I also use about half the can for the same amount of coating. That seems to be about right.
I buy mine at JC Whitney on-line. With shipping it is about $25 but they are offering FREE shipping with NO minimum for a few days if you are a prior customer. About $18 and change with the free shipping. I have not seen it less that. I'm talking about the protectant, not the cleaner.

I would imagine the product is absorbed by the pores of the fabric...So, Yes that sounds about correct...just make sure you clean it real good prior to the application or what is on your top's cloth will be sealed in for a while....

Actually, something tells me I didn't do it right. I sprayed it on saturday. Monday comes and we have rain all day. My top was soaked. The water did not bead up like I've heard it does when the top is protected. Did I do something wrong?

Yes. I used the spray bottle cleaner before I used the aerosol can protector. And yes, it says fabric on it.

I used 303 Protectant. woorks well, need to redo, since it has been a few years. Funny seeing water bead on cloth.
