I found a bunch on ebay. But I did talk with this company and plan to get one from them after my busy time is over...

The problem with replacement carpets with verts is they all only cover the floorpan. You need to cut and re-use the old carpet to go up behind the back seat and over the hump into the trunk. I would give them a call and verify it covers behind the back seat and goes all the way to the trunk. The only reason I know this is because I'm trying to do an ebony interior conversion on the 1998 SS I just picked up and can't find a "real" direct replacement carpet either. If I do find one though, I'll post up.

HASTINGSRJ, post up what your local dealer says price wise. If it's somewhat reasonable maybe we can get a few of us together and do a group purchase. Also, see if you can get a part number and I'll check around by me.

ok, got an email back, here is the link: http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCa...d=5&ModelId=71
He says it goes all the way over the trunk. With regualar shipping it comes out to $433.00. I am still debating on getting it, since I am going to cut it anyways for the other half of my cage.

Thanks for the post HASTINGSRJ. I checked out the link and that carpet is for a regular coupe / t-top car. The carpet is cut different since it needs to go into the hatch area and all the way up the back of the trunk well (where we have that stiff cardboard carpet junk). Also, what options did you choose to get the price that high since the linked page is listed for $199.45 and the convertible carpet is listed for $134.95......I'm on the fence with this one. This was one of the places I called and they told me the vert carpet only covers the passenger area.

Deezl, that is the link that was emailed to me by that company. I have had the hardest time trying to find a full piece carpet for my vert. In the email I recieved, he told me that it was for a convertible, even though it says for a coupe. I am not able to call him otherwise I would have. I have no idea why it came out to $433.00.

No problem bud. I'm still looking around as well for one. The carpet is the only thing holding me up from replacing the grey interior in my SS with the ebony one. I never imagined it would be this hard to get the damn carpet.

I got an online store that sells pretty much any interior piece you are looking for including carpet for our convertible floor pans and trunk area. It's all used but in excellent condition and there is pics on their website to show what you're buying. The problem is I don't think I can post it up w/o getting banned or an infraction b/c they are not a sponsor.
