Default Cloth or vinyl replacement?

Some model citizen took a razor to my top to break into the car (they didn't because they coud not reach the door lock) . Now it's time to consider a new top: cloth or vinyl? I like my cloth top but holes have developed on wear spots. I'm not sure if we can get vinyl tops but just wondering.

Sorry to hear. I would stick with cloth. It is more esthetically pleasing and will last longer.

I had black cloth on my silver SS. It was easy to clean and looked nice. I think it looked much better than the vinyl top I had on Z28.

I'd say cloth all the way, I went from vinyl to cloth... 100% improvement. Course I changed color as well but the cloth has a richer more expensive feel and look to it.

Definitely cloth. If you take proper care of it it shouldn't wear very fast. My 2000 top still looks great except for the back window part and mine has been exposed to the elements for most of it's life.

For looks & if the vehicle is garaged ( CLOTH )

Thumbs up

Just changed mine out from a tan cloth to a black cloth today In fact if anybody wants a 9+ year old top in good shape with normal wear which will include the back heated glass with limo tint, my upholstery guy gave the top a good rating, $75 shipped and it yours.

I know it has been discussed many times and people have claimed they were going to do it, but has anyone ever done a write up on top replacement yet? I dont remember seeing one.

Check out ebay. There is a guy that sells them on there. Don't know about the install, I paid someone to do mine.
