Anybody have an extra drivers side sail panel?
I can't believe the price of that piece ($65) versus a hardtop/ttop ($8) camaro sail panel.
I wondering if I can modify one to fit?
Anyway if anybody is parting out a vert and has a drivers side sail panel (the little triangular plastic piece behind the drivers side window) let me know.
Thanks,
David

Yeah i'm looking for that same thing for almost 6 months, that damn thing came off in the highway going over 100 feel sorry for the guy behind me. I looked all over the place but i could only find the ttop one, where did you find the one for convertible? I heard the t-top one is plastic, but i guess if you dont want to pay 65 dollars for the other one you can just cut it to the proper size and put 3m tape on it!

Well did some searching in here, and aparently those things are held by bolts, so i guess putting a t-top one would just come off, also foud out is for the whole triangle piece which you bolt on the back of the panel, so i ordered the convertible one!

So it is the whole panel, not just the outer cover? Well I already ordered the T Top version last week, should arrive today. I'll see if I can get it working with that and some epoxy.
If not, I'll be joining you in ordering that panel.

well i got the piece delivered to me today. And now that i have it i have no idea how to put it on, plus i think i got the one from the other side, i wish they have put in the item description for what side of the car it was. i might end up taking it apart and just sticking the triangle part in there. there goes 80 dollars to the garbage!

To take them off you have to remove two bolts that are behind the triangle thing if you put your hand behind it you will fill them. After you take those 2 things off you lower the top to the middle and you will see below the triangle there is weather stripping well you remove the 2 screws that are holding it and then raise the strip up and under the strip i think theres like 2 more screws you take them off as well, and the part should come right off!

Junkyard pieces
Hi guys,
My 98 vert has a plastic triangle cover that was just glued to the outside of what appears to be a very large piece to replace.
At the junkyard, the older models like this 96 I looked at had the exact triangle in dimensions but it was all part of the mold for the entire structure. You couldn't just pop off the cover. You would have to cut the entire piece off with a dremel or saw which probably not turn out very well to get a smooth back.
What's the part number for this whole piece for a 98 Drivers Side? Anyone know?
