heavy ok so from my understanding convertibles are slower because of all the extra support on the bottom cuz there is no roof is this correct? and my next question say you have around 430 to wheels do you need to build up the bottom any more?
The reinforcments on the convertibles make them heavier but they are not just on the bottom of the car. You should definately get subframe conectors if you are going to mod a convertible. Also if it runs faster then 13.49 you have to have a roll bar to be legal for NHRA.
heavier by about 150lbs. all things being equal (which they aren't because even with the top up, coefficient of drag probably isn't as good), equally modded coupe with small passenger and convertible should run about the same.

dont the 2 t tops and that large piece of rear window glass make it about even

though we have a lot more undercarriage re-enforcing we have bad body roll from having not frame up top. verts naturally dont get as good 60fts or launches in general.
Roll cages do work wonders but also add alot of weight to an already heavy car
