first pic is showing the cover down so you can see the back tip of the backseat and where the top fits into.

as you can see in next pic the top all fits inside of there so it doesnt affect your trunk at all

this is a pick of my 1 10inch sub. in a q-logic case. it fits Perfectly into the trunk very tight fit almost like it was made for it with about 2 inches of clearance under it. it actually pinched into the well of the trunk. which gives it a Nice deep reverberation for bass. only pushing 200 watts to it with a lightning audio sub amp and because of the location and such it hits alot harder than guys running 700 watts with 2 12s lol.

^^^ Good info I am just throwing another setup out there to show him what can fit and how much room he has when the top is down.

In this pic you can see that when the top is down it barely clears my capacitor, comes close but it never hits.

One thing to remember is when the top is down this is what it looks like behind the rear seats, it restricts pretty much all of the bass coming from the trunk.

Hope that helps a little.

yep your bass will be reduced by about 90% with top down. there is noway around this. the cloth adsorbs all the base. unfortunately. only time i turn my sub on is if the top is up. if its down. i dont bother using my sub. cant win against physics. you could be pushing 1400 watts ie 2 700 watt 10 or 12's and second that top goes down over the speakers. the stock 6 1/2 speakers will be louder lol. kinda sucks

Yep very true.

Funny thing is I always have my cutout open and would rather hear the exhaust over my stereo anyways

Its only in there to feed my need to rattle the car in front of me lol.

I am very happy I went with johnyB's setup. The useable trunk space is at a premium and his setup doesn't use up any of that space.

Glad I could help, that's the best set up I've seen.
