Default 335/30/18's Tires on a C5

Hi all, i'm wondering what the proper backspacing is to have a set of my thin spokes widened to 12' to fit a set of 335/30/18's on the rear. Realizing i probably will have to tub it to fit them inside i just cannot hook up at the track otherwise. My 295/35/18 drag radials aren't cutting it so i'm even thinking of running some 16" firebird wheels with bias ply slicks to hook it up. What do you think?

I think 335/30/18 will fit on Vetts without any mods.
I'm 90% sure.

You will need to mini tub it or get a wide fender package same as us C6 guys. Ever notice the rear fenders of a C6 Z06?? That is to accomodate the 12 inch tire. Going to have to do it on mine if I keep it.

You are joking right A 335 on a 9.5 wide wheel is totally not recommended.

18X12's with 335/30/18 BFG KDW's. I think if I where to run any other tire then the KDW's they would not fit. The sidewalls are rounded off more then any other 335 i have seen. They do rub a tiny bit on the inside fender well when I creep over a curb or hit a large bump. My car is also lowered on stock bolts.

Nitto's generally run a little narrower than spec'd. Many C5s are running their 335s on 10.5" Z06 rears without too much trouble. Sometimes depends on your alignment, lowered stance, and rear shocks.

Just like the Hammer said they do rub a little on the top of the inner fender when you turn up into a steep driveway. My car is an 02' Vett lowered 1" all around. I've been running 285/35 x18 0n 10.5" CCWs in the front and 335/30 x18 on 11.5" CCW classics in the rear, along with Michelin Pilot Sports, on my car for over 4 years with no issues. There are a couple of problems though, 1) they cost alot and 2) they are nail and screw magnets

I run aftermarket c5z06 wheels in 20x11 in the rear with Michelin Pilot Sports in 325/25/20 with no issues on a C5 coupe. Just have to get the right offsets/tires.

I just let mine hang out a little but I run 335's at all four corners with my race wheels, which I do street drive from time to time.
