Default New Dyno Numbers: 700rwhp+ LS1 Stock Bottom A&A Vortech V2 S-Trim System

For me it has been a long term goal finally realized; “do more with less”. Starting out with premium parts and continuing to add what I considered to be the best components, my combination continued to build power without adding significant boost. While being concerned of blowing up my stock bottom, I felt the V2 S-Trim would run out of steam about the same time or hopefully before Kaboom. This weekend Advanced Racing Dynamics in Houston installed a Dallas Performance “Big Mouth Air Filter” and custom 4” inlet pipe along with a new custom tune and we hit 708rwhp & 640rwtq @ 11.4psi. These results are, what I believe may be the highest recorded from a Vortech V2 S-Trim on any car. My previous dyno tune on December 27th yielded 693/639 @10.4psi. The new air filter setup allowed the blower to breathe better & in doing so leaned it out a little, so Owen dialed in a little more fuel in two successive runs and we called it a day. After the addition of the DP “BMAF” a new top shroud needed to be fabbed to clear the filter. Kerry, whom I consider to be a very good technician and fabricator, painstakingly & meticulously worked his craft and the results were indeed very functional & clean looking.

I want to thank Owen, Jay and Kerry for their outstanding work and superior customer service. Jay, the shop manager at A.R.D. stayed past 7pm Saturday finishing up the finer details. I also bring my 02 C5Z roadcourse track car to A.R.D. for all my work.

In addition I want to thank Taylor @ Dallas Performance for getting the custom aluminum 4” intake pipe with “BMAF” fabbed and delivered to me in record time. This component added 1psi and 15rwhp, definitely making the difference I needed crossing the 700rwhp threshold. I’m certain on larger builds this component would make an even larger increase.

Lastly, I want to thank Andy at A&A Corvette for designing a superior performing supercharger system. In the near future I plan on installing his newest intercooler for taking the power up another notch.
