Default LG Motorsports: Allngn_c5's 402 idle and revs (Thanks Bobby)

Well I don't know why I didn't put this up a long time ago. I hope to fly down and pick up the car at the end of the month, or first week of April. Either or I can't wait to get it. Its just so hard to get time off from my job.

Click the link for a start up, idle, and a couple revs. Thanks for doing the clip even though it was freezing the day you guys recorded it !!

Any thoughts on the sound ?

Any thoughts on what the 1 7/8 lg super pros would add to my setup ?? Should be a solid 8-15 peak with a nice increase under the curve as well.

Anyone interested in some used 1 3/4 pro longtubes (headers only, no X pipe) Local to Dallas preferred.....PM any legit offers.

*** Potential sales will be dicatated by c5 version 1 7/8 availability *****

If they aren't available, then I will be keeping them.

There are a few threads on this build and his numbers are in his sig already...

On topic, if it were me I would keep the pros. The extra power you have now should be enough to keep you happy for a while. I don't think it's worth the effort to change to 1 7/8th. I think a 15rwhp gain is too optimistic but thats just me. I think a gain of 5 if more realistic.

The test car was an unbroken in 09 c6z and it picked up 10-15. Best numbers with the 1 7/8 super pros were 510 rwhp and around 485 rwtq. CAI and a tune also.

I've read post and post, thread after thread that LG's 1 3/4 make more power than 1 7/8. Makes no sense to change and loose power.

You read and read, but missed the point that the lg 1 3/4 make more power then the competitions 1 7/8, but only down low, and lose a few up top. I have seen the data on the new 1 7/8 lg super pros, and the same car was tested back to back with the old 1 3/4 lg pros, and then the 1 7/8 super pros. The graphs were very similar, only that the 1 7/8 made more power everywhere on the 2009 c6 zo6. The problem with the competitions 1 7/8 headers are the merge collector. I was assured that Lou knows how to make a 1 7/8 header but with a redesigned collector to maintain low end torque and still yield peak gains. At any rate if I bought them and they made less power, I'd have them taken off and put the 1 3/4's on. I certainly wouldn't pay a dime for a mod that decreased my performance.

She wouldn't pass the emissions, no cats. I used to have the bullets, but I was tired of the Nascar effect at startup, and it woke my neighbors up in the morning when leaving, and at night if I was out late.

The LG Big 3 really improved flow (3' vs 2 3/4 bullets), and removes the Nascar snarl, and replaces it with a much more subtle sound along with about 10 more rwhp/rwtq vs the bullets. The clip is only a rev to about 3500, nothing major, and nowhere near what WOT should sound like. I wish I had a vid of the dyno, I'd really like to hear her at WOT.

I don't know why you are being an *** about it. If a reputable company tests something back to back what's the problem ?? If I wouldn't be out of any money whats the problem with trying them ?? On the off chance I didn't pick up power, I wouldn't pay a dime and my old stuff could go right back on.

So if I end up doing the swap, and I do maintain lowend, and gain power up top will you believe it ?? Its the same dyno, same car. True comparison ??

As I stated before, if I get them and lose power, I won't keep or pay .....

We'll I guess I don't think like most people here, I'm all about the bang for the buck. What's you're horsepower per $$ ratio after selling the old set-up? In my mind, unless your car makes you money or you have unlimited funds/sponsorship, what's the real cost of leaving 10HP on the table?

Well lets put it this way the price I'd pay, and the price you'd pay aren't even close. I have a buyer for my 1 3/4 lg pros provided the 1 7/8 super pros become available. Besides you have to think ahead my friend. Those 1 7/8 headers would be ideal for my next idea.
