Nitto or Toyo?

my tire guy knows i'm super picky, and was a little nervous about giving me the "ok" for them
thats 25mm more than stock, so 1"
I would think they would buldge a lot?? wear the centers out very quickly...?
or will the Invos help out a lot so my car doesn't spin so badly on the street?

Mileage just isn't that much of a criteria. Once you go to 18x11 rims you'll have more good choices in sticky tires and won't have to worry about bulging. In the long run, the 18" rims will save you money and improve performance.
or will the Invos help out a lot so my car doesn't spin so badly on the street?

That's what I am doing. I have some 19x11 and 18x10 LG wheels (black center with polished lip) coming. 
Going to put the 305 R888s on back and probably NT05s or Invos up front.
That should be all the traction I need on the street and it keeps the factory balance in terms of looks. It would be a big step up for you too, but 18" with Nitto 555rII still would be my first choice at your power level.

Black might look nice with my Lemans and Black top...though the polished look is nice also

If you decide to go with Toyo and the R888 go with the RA1s instead, if they are made in the size you want. R888 is newer and was supposed to replace the RA1. Guess what, toyo announced now they are continuing with the RA1 alongside the R888.
I have heard way to many negative reviews on the r888. Ok not negative overall, eveyone says they're awesome, but negative/unconvincing when compared to RA1s.
I also watched a video from Toyo and it even said the RA1s have some similarites to their drag radials (not mentioned for the R888).
I have also heard alot of people not running any faster, even slightly slower with the R888 compared to the RA1, PLUS the R888s wear faster.
Also, in the SCCA Spec Miata racing, the cars ran Toyo RA1s, then the new R888s came out which were supposed to be an improvement, and the series all upgraded to them. Guess what, with all the negative feedback from its racers and engineers the series has reverted back to the RA1.
I also heard that the RA1 warmed up slightly quicker/easier than the R888s, or that their optimum temp was slightly lower than the R888s making them easier to get up to temp when street driving, but I could be wrong about this.
I did for sure hear quite a few racers say they werent happy with the R888 characteristics when near the limit, they were saying they break away more sudden and snappy where as the RA1s are more forgiving. (Think they were also saying the R888s have a lower slip angle for maximum grip whereas the RA1s require more slip to reach optimum grip).

The only R888 that I heard are better than the RA1s are the R888s with the label 3G(GGG) on them instead of 2G(GG), but you cannot get these in North America, I think they couldnt get North American DOT approved or some crap, but they're supposed to be more sticky than the regular R888 2G(GG) that we get and the RA1s, they are supposed to wear faster aswell. I put Toyo Proxes T1-S on my 2003 Z06, and I was not impressed with them. Over the stock super car tires that came with my C5Z I actually lost dry traction. Now the Nitto Invos on my 2008 Z06 are night and day different from the stock runflats that came with it. I can still break them loose now and then, especially in cooler weather, but nothing like the runcraps.
Of the two, I'd definitely recommend the Invos. If you are more concerned with road course and dry traction, also take a good hard look at the Nitto NT-05s. Those will probably be my next tire, but I did already get caught in a recent downpour on the Invos, and they held wet traction pretty good.

RA1's.........the ****.
Been saying it for a while now. Any tire that can take a 300hp hit of spray on a 427ci car on 18" wheels,...on the street with no prep(900+rwhp) is wicked. The RA1 has done wonders,... soo happy they are going to continue it,....as I will be buying two 335's for the white devil soon.
