I would think that an F1 would be a little over kill unless you plan on upgrading your motor in the near future. A P1 or D1 would probably be a better choice.

the bigger superchargers take more power to run,so you actually need more boost to make the same hp.if you do not plan on making 800+ rwhp,no need for the f1-go with a d1.plus they are physically bigger.

kinda the same thing as put a 100mm turbo on a car with stock heads, intake. you can only push so much air into the motor. like everyone said up top, if you plan on building a very high hp car then you might wanna consider the f1, if not, go smaller, bigger isnt always better.

The P-1SC, D-1SC, F and F-1A all have a 9.00 volute diameter. The F and F-1A are approx .38 longer in length.

Max boost we personally have seen out of a P series on a 402/408 cubic inch/cam/headers, etc is 12 psi, D series is 16 psi, F-1A is 19 psi.

The P and D series use a 4.10/1 gear ratio in the blower. The F series uses a 5.40/1 gear ratio. What this means is that with any given blower pulley, the F series is going to be spinning faster which means it will be making more boost.

The largest blower pulley that ProCharger makes is a 5.25. The larger the pulley, the less boost the blower will make. A 5.25 blower pulley on an LS2 with headers and exhaust on an F-1A would probably make around 10 psi of boost. Less boost if you live at a high elevation such as in Denver, Colorado. We had a customer who had a 5.50 blower pulley made for his LS1 GTO for his F-1A. With his aftermarket camshaft/headers/exhaust he was making 7 psi.

If you're planning on building your LS2 down the road, the F-1A is indeed a good way to go. Check out this LS2/402 we built and added an F-1A to it. Check out the last dyno graph and the torque it makes at just 2000 rpm.

For and everday driver, stick with the P1SC or the D1SC kit. i think you will find it more practical for the stock motor, and a lot less destructive.
