Default 09 ls3 vengeance build!

Just got my 2009 6speed ls3 car back from vengeance today. They bolted on a fast 102 intake and their stage3 cam and put down 473 to the wheels! The car had a baseline of 400 whp with longtubes cold air and intake...After all the headaches with trying to find my home shop, I finally found one. They had my car back quick and are more proffesional than words can say. Car is way faster and excellend driveability...Thanks Ron!

Congrats! VRD is a great shop indeed.

I was considering this 102 FAST for mine but this makes me think no. I have a VRD Stage 1 cam and stock intake, w/ LT's, CAI and a tune. Making similar power with that setup. 470rwhp and it's NOT tuned for a dyno. Is the motor brand new? I thought the FAST would net 15-20rwhp over what I have now. HHMMMM....

OP, glad to see you went to and are happy with Vengeance Racing !!! Decent results. On a side note though it looks like that 102mm fast isn't living up to the hype. If you go back and look at Ron's testing you'll see the results. Not huge, but I guess when you want the potential to make every last hp you can then have it.

I knew you would love the drivability. Mike nailed down another perfect tune.

yeah not real big numbers....im guessing the factory baseline was 360 ish....The car only hit 402 whp with lg superpros and cold air induction plus catback so....Proly wasnt the fastest ls3 ever made...plus the car only has 1500 miles on it....Ive heard the car will pull better numbers with more miles so well see...But i am going all the way with it, sending it back beginning of the year...i will keep you guys posted....And all said and done, how many cars on the street will **** with a 475 rwhp car!

LS3's 6.2L are in regular C6 Vette's 08 and newer so far. C6 Z06 is a LS7 7.0L 427 small block.

I have an LS3 if that's what you're asking.

I'm not an ls3 guy but I would say you could consider milling your factory heads or get a set of aftermarket heads that are milled to create the optimum compression ratio. That should increase your HP across the rpm range and boost low end tq with the added compression.

Good luck, and I'm glad I was able to help you with your decision on where to go for all your performance needs.

Need some pics and / or video of the car bro !!!! Hook it up.

I think your next step would depend on you! I would say FI. And from there how much power and money you want to spend.

only problem is i have two cars im trying to build at the same time(two expensive cars) So im not real sure....probably should just do the heads and make it a daily driver, but i really do like the car for some reason...And having a fast ls3 just seems more "different" and more of a sleeper than the zo6....Thats why i got one as plain as i could get it....

just curious, did they do a before and after they bolted in the intake on?

do you know if it had to be flycut? I read your other thread. The reason I ask is I have a ls2/l92 build im working on and Iv sent a few PMs to Ron with questions on their stage III/IV cam and he recomended the stage III as well.

any videos?

They did not do a before and after with the fast....Peak numbers weren't great...But when you drive it the lowend horsepower and torque is ******* crazy....I know it doesn't but it feels like it has more lowend power than my modded Z06....
