well I only heard this from a guy that worked as a GM tech for 15 years but who knows maybe he is full of **** he said it only takes 30 but I say an hour just to be safe.

I never heard of this method either, but I do have a routine for an alternate method if the 10-10-10 relearn does not work.

If someone needs it, PM me and I'll post it up tomorrow.

Default will not start

I have the some problem with my 2001 c5 convertable. I just bought it last month. Sometimes it starts with no problem and sometimes I turn the key and nothing happens. If I try it a few times it starts. what did you find

Did you check for codes ? Please list codes as this will help. Also how many miles on the car and is it a six speed or automatic ?

I hate how a guy has a problem with his car, turns out to be the same issue you are having then they fix it and don't say what they did to fix it or what the issue was.

Yeah I gotta agree with you. It would be nice if everybody completed their post with updated info.

Best place to start is to pull your codes off of the DIC and then go from there. Also good to know if you have an auto or six speed as some of the no start problems are a little different based on the transmission.

Also good to know if it's a cranking issue (i.e. no crank) or cranks over with no start.

If you started a threat you may want to point us over there.
