New C5 Z06 owner with a Pic
Guys just wanted to share a pic of my newly purchased 03 z06. I don't post often but I visit this site quite a bit, i'm addicted to lsx engines. The z is just phenomenal and I could've gone with an 05-07 c6, but I just had to have and eb z. I just like the looks the best (besides c6z), and love the race car thrill that this car gives. This car is cherry, has fikse's, and had only 17k miles when I bought it six weeks ago. Mods are in the sig.

Thanks, for the props. I've never heard of anybody hating FM10's haha, but it's all good. I personally dig the FM5's over anything else, but these are my second fav's.

Actually, the previous owner put those stickers on when he had an x-pipe and no cats before he got the car smogged and sold it to me. It now has RT hi-flow cats. The previous owner I believe figured the car was around that power level with full bolt-ons. Of course my dyno shows that it is actually around 440 crank hp. The car runs like a scolded ape though, and I'm debating on removing the stickers, or putting a cam in the car to make 475 hp badges legit.

Yeah, guys, my original thoughts on the decals were that they have to go. I'll probably remove them soon. I just need to research on how to do it properly, so I don't hurt the paint at all.
The one thing I've noticed with this car so far is that people, co-workers & people that aren't into cars, all seem to think the z is new. Maybe it's the two coats of Mcquires wax on the like-new paint, but the car turns more heads here in socal than my ws6 did. I'll post pics again after a full detail and sticker removal.

I had one guy ask me if it my car was super charged and I said no its not, this is the Z06 not the the new ZR1, he said to bad. Then I asked him what do you drive he said a ZR1 and I say cool man, and to mess with him I ask what engine you got?do you have the 502 (). He goes yeah and its got a big super charger. Then I said O then ask him how much boost are you pushing threw you supercharger he said im not sure I just got a CAI for it. I said I think stock they push 40lbs he said yeah I thinks it about that much maybe more......so I end up saying good bye and LMAO. O and the guy pulled up in a Honda Civic with a huge wing on the back looked really nice , and fast!
