c6 engine removal
Thanks

Auto's are easier to do, because it's easier to line up the spline shaft for the torque tube.
Basically, disconnect the battery, drain all of the fluids.
Pull out the radiator and fan assembly. If you're going to drop it out the bottom, disconnect the shocks front spring and upper control arms.
Pull off the calipers and hang them on the sides with some coat hangers or wires.
Disconnect the engine harness, PS, brake lines, etc ...
If you're using a two post lift make sure you put a few jacks around the car to make sure you don't accidently knock it off the lift.
Here's a good site that was for C5's. Basically the same for the C6's.

Wanted to put in another set of garages with 12ft ceiling so that I could put a 4 post and a 2 post lift in it.
The 2 post are great for dropping motors and I like the (4) post for doing brake, suspension and other under the car stuff.
That's a great set-up that you have.

If not, a flat ceiling can be made cathredal and possibly provide enough height in the center for a lift.
