c6 trouble shooting lets c wtya got!! Just bought my lady a 2008 c6 automatic car with 28k miles on it a couple weeks ago.After we got it home the next day it started making a really bad rubbing noise when you turn the wheels really hard...It only does it mostly in the morning when its cold outside. Of course its still under warranty but they put a new set of tires on it and checked out the problem and said they didnt find anything(of course

I don't have a C6, I have a C5, but they're pretty much the same for a lot of things. You could also have a bearing issue. Can you get some video on the noise? Post it on youtube for us to hear?
I think im going to take it to the dealership tommorrow sometime...But it sounds like the wheels are rubbing against something when you turn the wheels (75%) or up...It does it horrible when you first start driving in the morning but its not as bad if at all when it warms up outside and it has been driven a little bit which makes me wonder if its a mechanical issue or not...Clean carfax but i think we all no they are pretty much bullshit...I will take a video and post a link tommorrow for you guys(will be the first time i have had some spare time to mess with it) Thanks guys
Are you sure that you're not experiencing the joys of rock hard runflats that will hop like crazy during full turns at parking lot speeds when it is 30*? If things are rubbing, you'll finding rubber/black marks on the car or evidence of scraping on the tires.
I'm going to have to think bearings in the hubs on this one if you can't find any evidence of rubbing, and that the noise only happens during certain outside conditions. If rubbing, it would typically make the noise everytime.
Dropped it off early today at my local chevy dealer(not the one i bought the car from)...They said it was a commom problem in newer model c6's and showed me a print out bulletin of the problems that were reported...I guess if a lot of them start causing problems then they will put out a recall..I guess its just an annoyance im going to have to get used to in the wintertime. They bulletin describes the problem to a "T"

I only had my other z stock for a short short time and all i can say is driving a stock one like the one i got (mint babied) I LOVE IT! It is fast as **** and no bullshit...Def headers and exhaust LATER down the road..Def no offroad (catted)
