Default C5 Front Splitter.

I made this splitter for autocross. I can take it off and put it in my trunk for the ride to the track and back.

is that really going to make a difference at autocross speeds?

as for the looks, to each his own.

The wing I have made so much difference at autocross speeds, I needed to balance it out with a splitter. Will it make as much downforce as the wing? No, but if it can produce any downforce, then it was worth it. Every top time car has a wing and splitter in autocross. My car is not built for looks like yours. In fact, if I wanted a car for looks, I would make it look like yours. But speed is what I want more.

fair enough, happy racing!

I was mostly just curious from an engineering standpoint - good to hear that you have already experimented with the wing and i'm glad it worked out well for you!

I'd like to think my car is built for a little bit of both, haha!

Your car is both, that's for sure. I got bored one day and decided to go crazy and rip my car all apart. If it didn't make the car go fast, I took it out or replaced it. If I could afford it, I would have flair fenders like you do. My tires front and back stick outside the fenders. Kind of ugly, but I don't want to spend money on parts that are for looks. It all goes for maintenance, tires, entry fees, etc. I posted shots of my wing, but the guys on this forum couldn't handle the looks, so I pulled the thread. Here is two secret shots.

Have fun.
