What Oil Do You Use and Why

Hey guys, just wondering what your oil of choice is. I know over in the Corvette Forum a lot of the guys are hardcore Mobil 1 fans, because "its what GM engineers recommend" as they say. I say Mobil pays to have their name on our oil fill caps. As many of us know, moddified engines that see higher temps and higher revs for longer amounts of time, especially at the track, demand a good oil with plenty of anti wear additives. Ive had very good luck with Rotella oils. They are readily available, cheap and have a high zinc content (1257ppm). Ive been using Rotella T6 (full syn 5w40) in my cammed LS3. Oil pressures and temps have been very good and stable. I have yet to use it at the track but I'll plan to test it out in December. So just wondering what you guys use and why?

Honda motorcycle oil W/Molly 10w-40, because if it works in a motor that spins 16,000 rpms it must be good for my ol V8. Plus the moly additive is supposed to be a very slick Crystal that imbeds itself into metal the hotter it gets, but really I think keeping oil clean, clean filter, correct viscosity, and great oil pressure/volume is what you should worry about vs what type is in it

Royal Purple HPS 5W-30 initially but had some blow by issues due to the light weight oil. I've switched over to Royal Purple HPS 10w-40 and have had no issues so far.
Values were amazing on additives when I sent it to Blackstone Laboratories considering it was a new motor with lots of abuse put on the oil(3-4 dyno events, 3-4 drag strip visits, and 3 track days on the road course and 3000 miles totals)

Just switched from German Castrol 0W-30 (still use in all other cars) to Amsoil Z-Rod 10W30. I switched because the Z-Rod oil has more ZDDP and phosphorous and it near the top of the 30W range at 100 degrees C. I wanted the extra protection due to higher valve train loads on the pushrods, etc.
