Default FAST 90mm INTAKE with LS2 throttle body

Are there any fitment issues with the LS2 throttle body on a 90 mm FAST intake.

I am looking at putting this in a C5 corvette. It has the electronic throttle control.

Any problems with the wire conversion...because I know the TPS and throttle control are all in one with one plug.

Please post all issues encountered with this conversion....

THANKS Tom Ulrich

Might give LG. They did a cable swap on their race car.

No, it fits.

You will need an adapter harness, or you will need to order the GM replacement harness, cut your factory harness, and replace it with the new pigtail as the connectors on the TB are different.

Any performance differences between the LS2 TB and the NW or TPIS?

On a 503 RWHP Z06 the TPIS and NW TB made 1.5 HP more than an Ls2 by virtue of the fact the opening is slightly bigger (true 90MM). The GM has a venturi in it.

Now, the NW TB we have is the second one made. Since then he has made numerous improvements. I have spoken with Nick on many occasions aboutt he TBs. He's a great guy and has been very helpful on getting us squared away. The car was at a shop, and they had a GM TB and pretty much promised they could improve the drivability on the car by switching to a GM TB. So, we switched it over and tested it on the dyno.

Drivability did improve. My understanding is the new NW has many of the same improvements. But no matter which way you go, you can't go wrong with a the FAST and a 90MM for making power.

Got the car back late yesterday. Bottom line is 7 more peak hp and 10 more under the curve in a few places. I need to scan or take a digi pic of the chart and post. I few thing to note are my last dyno run of 426SAE corrected was done on a cool engine at 72 degree ambient temp. The cool run pulled 9 more hp than my warm pulls.
The run of 433 SAE corrected after the 90/90 setup was done on a very hot engine. The ambient temp was 87 degrees. Multiple pulls were made to tune the setup. Jason said I needed to get a 160 thermostat in it as it runs about 200 degrees now and he said that they prefer the temp in the 180 degree range.

Another unknown that I have is I changed the cat back from a straight thru B&B bullet system to there quietest Route 66 system. So that might have not helped "who knows".

Drive-ablity wise it's at least as good as before with no idle, sumble, etc issues with A/C on or off etc. The intake noise is increased quite a bit, I guess due to lighter weight materials and thinner runner walls.

How big of a cam are you running and did they have to drill the TB to get the idle right?

If that is directed at me, its 24x/24x fairly narrow LSA for that big a cam. No drilling required, idles at 1000 rpm.

Personally, I'd get a Nick Williams TB and be done with it.

Hello XTrooper!

On April 14th LG Motorsports installed the LSX FAST 90mm Intake Manifold/G2 NW 90mm TB combo along with a set of Random Tech Metal Matrix HF Cats. I gained only 10rwhp across the powerband, however since the Cats were added I like to think of it as a 15-20rwhp gain across the curve; now have 405rwhp w/Stock Heads. Seems like improved part-throttle response as well as runs smoother at the slower speed range [25-40mpg]. BTW, no holes were drilled in the TB.

NW can be contacted over on Corvetteforum.

I belive LGM is a distributor for NW, so your best bet would be to call them...
