97's going for $15,000?
I've been kind of looking at used corvettes lately. According to NADA and KBB what i'm looking for (high mileage 97 w/ MN6 and average condition), the price is ranging from $11-15k!!
now i'd imagine that number is decently far off, i was just wondering how you guys felt about it.
also, i'd imagine with the c6 coming out, the c5's prices would start to drop.
anyone feel free to comment

good news for me. i'm not scared whatsoever of miles...IMO these motors are pretty damn reliable, and cheap enough to replace... i would be curious to see what these go for at the dealer auctions...

If you snag one at a dealer auction just remember a dealer is willing to take 10 - 11k because they could not get a cent more for it to the public.... There is LOTS of JUNK at dealer auctions......

C5 prices have dropped...they went south about $3K when the C6 hit the ground a year ago August...when you are talking about miles the motor is not the thing to be concerned about..the 97's had some glitches in them and 98's too...keep in mind that these cars have a lot of computers on board..the electronics are what cost an arm and a leg to repair not the engine...I would be looking at a 99 or newer car if I were you..they had most of the bugs out of them by 99..just my 2 cents..I am in the Corvette biz..just speaking from experience...good luck in your search..
