Default Newbie!! Vette questons??????
Hey guys I am looking into buying a 2005 C6 vette and this is really a whole new thing for me. Right now I have an 03 cobra but I may switch over and go with the C6 but am unsure of a few things....

1. What would it take to get the C6 in the 11's on motor?? I really dont care too much about 1/4 mile times but I would hate to get the vette and have a bunch of cars walk all over me.

2. What would the car run with bolt ons, Cam and N20 with good tires??

Thanks much guys and I know from what I have read so far the Z06 2001-2004 is better but I like the way the 05s look so I have to go with that.

1. Probably full bolts on's and a good tune, plus good tires, and the driver mod

2. Probably LOW 11's if not high 10's

Thanks for switching over, its always good to see Cobra boys jump on the winning team

When you guys say full bolt ons what would that include??? Because I know heads for the car are very pricey

Vararam or some kind of CAI, FULL EXHAUST, Gears, Shifter, GOOD TUNE


Yes a Heads and Cam kit installed can be very expensive for these cars.

Try the mods a just described and see how u like the car compared to the cobra, the handeling should be the first thing that blows u away!!!

Check out the "Dry kit for Corvettes" thread. I put a link to an intro for the new PRO Dry kit. You'll be in the elevens for sure, and only $525 dollars. The best bang for the buck going, bar no mod. This is an easy, very safe and a high quality kit. Something to think about. We speced this for the C5/C6 and lsx platform.

11.99 I feel could be had with cool air and DR's on a manual car. I am close to 11.9 with only Bolt ons and cam.

With spray, cam and bolt ons, 10's for sure.

intake,full exhaust,DR's,tires....11's should be no problem

I know thats the C6 I have been looking at... Just not so sure how much he will give me for my cobra since he does have another cobra on the lot
