Can't get out of the low 1.5's

I have done a few high 1.5s with new cluth and HC swap. Seems like 5200, 5500 (track prep) and a quick slip and to the wood. With OEM cluth it would go 1.70 but I had to slip it quicker and drive through it. IMO to go 1.5 (or low 1.5) in an M6 you need a clutch and gears. I did a post on another site about M12/M6 and 10.xxx na and 60s... More to follow.

To get help I think you need some more info:
Complete time slips.
Description of your launch technique including tire prep.
Detailed description of of your tires (brand, pressure, age, preparation)
Description of your current suspension.
Description of your trans, its programming, and especially your torque converter.
Dyno sheet on the engine.
As others have said, 1.5 isn't slow.
There are quite a few discussion on launching on the various Corvette and Z06 forums.

1.42-1.47 on the stock Z06 suspension (stock shocks, etc...) launching at 6600 ona good track. The deeper m12 first gear helped the launch. Folks with similar M6's were only cutting 1.55.
If I were hardcore on being drag race only I'd look at a set of double adjustable shocks, and some suspension tuning. I'd also look at my alignment.
A 1.5 is pretty awsome as it is. So, it could alos be a matter of track prep, etc...
