Default C6 questions

Hey guys,

I've been trying to find some of this information, but I'm not having a lot of luck searching. If you have a good source of information where I can get details, by all means let me know!

My father is thinking about purchasing a 2006 'vette, and he is internet retarded. Therefore, I am the one stuck doing the searching. Can anyone answer a few of his questions for me?

1) What kind of differential does the C6 come with, and what kind of HP is it good for?
2) What is the gear ratio used in the differential in the C6 M6?
3) What kind of M6 tranny does the C6 use? T-56?
4) Is the stock C6 exhaust true dual?
5) What's the purpose behind the rear-mounted transmission? Any advantages or disadvantages?

Thanks in advance everyone!

ABOUT DIFF EXPLODING, IN MY OPPINNION IT WON'T. Lingenfelter vette has over 650hp on a stock .342 . To the best of my knowledge, holds up to 750hp. But not to shure check dirrectly with GM.com

Tell me if I am wrong but for the disadvantages isn’t there more drivetrain loss?

Scott

You see an F body usually put down 5 to 10 more RWHP than the stock vettes..IRS is the reason ..it uses more HP than the straight axle configuration. But the IRS is much better for handling than the straight axle cars.
