dont make that mistake and stay with stock plugs. i bought the tr55s and i didnt like how my car felt with them. i dumped them after one week of use and bought ac delcos which is what my car had and it is a world of difference.
the tr55's are gapped at .55 and the stock ones are gapped at .41 so you are actually putting a much much colder plug which will hurt your n/a engine performance...
i wasted my money on ngks and i will never put them again..

You always need to check them because they rarely are all gapped the same.
I use NGK TR-55s for NA along with 95% of the people on this board with no trouble.
Fact of the matter is the iridium coating often comes off after a few WOT runs.

according to several other corvette forums, it seems to be a toss up between expensive AC Delco Iridium plugs and the inexpensive NGK TR55 plugs. AC Delcos work best at the preset gap of .040 and the NGKs work best at a .050 gap. MTI claims that NGK TR55 plugs are factory heat range and its backed up by other members of other forums. i can't see myself spending $64 for a set of plugs, therefore i've made up my mind and i'm going with the NGKs. Thanks for all your help and support guys.

that is going to be a wasted 20 bucks on plugs for no reason. i know for a fact that 04s came with iridium plugs and my z06 didnt respond very well to the ngk's. may be it is just 04s that perform better with the ac delcos, but from my own experience i would buy the stock ones again. also, it isnt 64 dollars..it is $48 and change.
if you go the cheap route then it is going to cost you more later. i was told by lou from lg motorsports to put stock plugs back on the car and get rid of the ngk's.
