Default Worst part of Corvette ownership?

Ok, since there is a thread about the best parts of owning a Corvette, what are some things you don't like?

Mine:
-Having to constantly explain to people that I'm not rich, that my Corvette cost less than their SUV, and that, yes, I do get better gas mileage than them.

-Having everyone in any type of "sporty" car (ricer, Mustang, LT1/LS1, etc) trying to race me from every stoplight.

-Having everyone I've ever met ask me "can I drive it".

What are some things that you dislike about owning a Corvette?

Not being able to beat on it like my old Z/28 with a 9", 35 spline axles, and a locker.

I was originally looking at a Corvette before buying my Formula. But the prices for parts were insane compared to F-bodies.

Constantly wincing coming off driveways knowing that I'm going to scrape it 80% of the time. It only took a week to damage the scrape sensor on the new car.

Constantly wanting to go for a drive just for the sake of driving and wasting gas by keeping the pedal to the floor. I haven't had this feeling since I first bought the Trans Am and drove it to Oklahoma and back the day after I got it.

Other than that, I can't think of a thing. I haven't had anyone try to race me yet in the C6. It was a different story with the Z06.

Prices are higher no doubt because it's a smaller market and the drivetrain is more complex. I will never go back to an F-Body. There's no comparison. Even the difference in feel and sound between this C6 and the Z06 is very different. When I first drove it, it didn't even feel like a Vette. After the break in, though, I gave it a workout, and it's definitely a Vette.

Too much attention. Also having to park out away from everything and find some A$$hole squeezed up next to ya. Haters messing with it because they can't afford it or just don't want you to have a nice car. All in all its worth it because they are so fun to drive. I have had the works done to my car (see sig) and I love it more and more everytime I start it up. Still considering a supercharged 408 down the road. I wish people would just respect what you drive. Last thing I hate about owning a corvette is that everyone seems to need to cut you off. You can't just enjoy a leisurely drive without someone cutting you off. I guess it comes with the territory.

Aftermarket, stock replacements, or both?

I'll explain...

Are you guys referring to 1k ehxuat systems and 300+ air intakes, or are you guys referring to stock part replacement prices? In other words, are prices for an alternator or a/c compressor significantly more than other LSx-car parts?

EX (prices are fictional):

LS1 Fbody alternator = $150
LS1 Vette alternator = $300

Just curious...
Ryan

Scraping and COLUMN LOCK on the C5s. Other than those two items I LOVE the car.

For me the worst part is the fact that the new ones cost so much, and I'll always want to have the newest one, but cannot afford it.
