corvette rear end leak

hi all, how hard is it to replace the axel seals on a 2000 coupe? it looks straight forward, so what suprises will i encounter? thanks

You may want to check with a dealer about this. If I remember right there was a recall regarding this.

Output shaft seals are easy. Cover seals are more difficult. Which one is leaking?

Pulling the half shafts are not a real issue, just take your time, and you'll be fine. It helps to have a friend help you...

its the output shaft, i ordered the seals from the dealer yesterday,only one is leaking now but im going to do them both while im at it. do you think im thinking right to do them both?

hey i just got my car this july and was changing the fluids and saw my rear diff leaking under the driver side i checked with the local dealer and they said there is no recall?? my car is an 02 coupe m6 has 54.5k on the clock was the dealer wrong abot the recall?
