Could be a VETTE owner tomorrow!
I have been looking for a car for the last couple of months and finally made my mind up on what I wanted. I decided to go for a FRC Corvette. We located one down in Florida. So me and the wife are flying out from Nashville to Tampa in the morning to go take a look at it. If everything is good and the car is clean I'll be bringing it home. I can't wait and hope that it is a good looking car. You can never really tell from the pics. Anyway the car is a 99 FRC, black, black interior,6-speed,40K miles and is STOCK all the way. If all works out tomorrow I will post some pics when I get it home. Can't wait to start modding it!

cool, hope it works out for you
I did pretty much the same thing back in June when I got my FRC. Flew to LA. Talked to the dealer and he told me all about it, and there weren't any surprises so we drove it home. Made a nice little mini vacation out of the trip too.

I did the same thing to get my vette. I flew to dallas on a saturday morning and drove it back. I got a 98 pewter six speed coupe. I did that a month ago and have put 1700 (yea I know) trouble free miles on it.
One thing, It didn't feel like "my car" til I cussed it all the way up onto ramps and changed the oil and gear oil the next day.
good luck, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is 1:09am and we made it back with the car. Everything worked out great. We left Tampa at 12:30pm this afternoon and stopped a few times on the way just to break up the trip alittle. The car is great and I love it. I had never been in a Vette before buying this one. The car is everything that I thought a Vette would be. It has the normal little signs of wear and tear for being a 99 model car, but I think that all in all it is in good shape. I really got to know the car with buying it and driving it 755 miles home in the same day. Well it is late and I will post some pics of it tomorrow. Thanks for all the kind words.

I am going to change the tires and wheels first and lower it. I can't stand the factory wheels at all. The performance mods I have planned are: Longtubes, true 3" exhaust,4.10 gears, pulley,Halltech,Fast 90/90,heads,T-REX,Nitrous. For now I have a few little things that I want to do before taking it to the shop and tearing it all down.
