I guess the truth is that really a yellow ACR makes my heart skip a beat...But handling and braking were a big reason I hit the wall in my gen 2..I KNOW I SHOULD BE BLAMING THE DRIVER AND NOT THE CAR...But i still feel that an SRT10's superior handling/brakes would have stopped me before impact..

So a yellow SRT10 is currently in the works....Thanks for your help on this guys.

I HONESTLY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE 60% FOR THE Acr and 40% for the srt10. instead it's acr by a land slide

Another vote here for the ACR! Of course I'd take a srt10 but there is a red srt10 and a red ACR car driving around town all the time and to me the srt10 has nothing on the other car as far as looks go.

i agree i have a 01 C5 and i love it but i want C6 and im going to get a C6 next year or later so i can get a 08 LS3... you may like the ACR but if you buy it then you may regret it and wish you got the newer srt10 and you have to look at the value of the car later on down the road it you buy the newer srt10 it will be worth more five years down the road compared to the older ACR that something i always look at... i bout the older car trying to say money but now i just want to get rid of it cuz i want a newer car... but in the end its what fits you best...

Good luck and congrats on your new purchase! Either will be bada$$! Vipers just have that "I'll come over and kick your a$$" look to them. I'm personally not a dodge man, but dang they look awesome! Post up pics when you get her!

Ha ha ha...No thanks man..been there done that with vettes...The LS3 vette will be kool for about 6 months...Then it;ll just be the base vette again..

Id rather have a 1996 GTS than the 08 LS3...But thats just me..

the only thing Im happy about is that FINALLY the base C6 will be fater than a C5Z06....

Right now the C5Z06 runs 12.5 at 115 mph with an average driver..The 400 HP c6 runs an 12.7 at 113 with an average driver..

The 430HP C6 will run 12.4 at 116 with an average driver and great drivers in great conditions will hit 118 mph trapp speeds.

GOTTA LOVE THAT LOL

I VOTE C6 Z06 if you want the BEST You have functionality, looks, and PLENTY power My cousin has an '01 or '02 GTS in red/white and he is even looking into the Z06 as he really likes the new Vette's.

SRT-10 hands down...better brakes and handling plus IMO...it looks like the more modern car to the average person. As much as I like the looks of the ACR I think its worth it to have a car that looks like its brand new.

Well somthing pretty amazing happenned today..

Now please keep in mind that i live in hawaii..

IN MY LIFE IVE SEEN...

-a red SRT10 at the dealership
-A silver SRT10 at the dealership
-A Red SRT10 at the drag strip
-A yellow recked SRT10 at the shop were my rt10 was repainted

But I had never seen an SRT10 actually driving on the road..

-Seen a blue/white GTS driving 5 years ago
-Seen a red rt10 driving 7 years ago
-seem one friends red GTS and another friends red ACR all drivin in the past year
-and of course a few valets bringing mine back to me when leavin restaurantes and such..

Today while at my work place ( a drug/homeless/prostitute infested area called china Town)

it happenned. I saw my first SRT10 actually driving. I was out on the sidewalk sweeping when low and behold a silver car caught my eye. Honestly at first i thought it was a ferrari becuase it looked so low and wide. then as it got closer I saw the crossed grill and realized that this is the car Im currently trying to buy..

It was AMAZING when you actually see a car like that in the real world..The pics on the internet dont really make me think much of it. Or even the same exact silver model that I saw at the dealership..WELL i hated the silver at the dealership..

but seeing it like this has totally changed my mind. The SRT10 is truly an beautiful car when you see it roll by and see the front /side/and then rear of the car all in one sweeping motion as it passes...

At first i really wanted a 2004 or the 2005 that im currently working on. I really didnt want the 2003 because for what ever reason I considered it the weakest link of the SRT10 line up...

But after today I realized.....SH*T...I DONT KNOW WHAT YEAR IT WAS..Coulda been a 2003 or a 2006 for all I know...

So now I have 100% made up my mind...IN-CRE-DI-BLE lookin car

To each there own man. I already bought a BRAND NEW Vette right off the show room floor. even had the cheesy museum delivery and even a chick who went over the car with me after purchase as part as the hole delivery ( do have to give props to GM for making it all seam so special though...Buying your first vette is pretty kool)...

It was a great car....cant deny that. Just not rare enough for my taste. I like my eat bloody...

Now a c6z06 I would do as my next choice behind the viper..I suspect you'll be able to get a 2006 Z06 for 55 grand this time next year. Cant beat that

True story on seeing an SRT-10 on the road. I had one fly right by me doing over 100+ easily on the highway. The entire moment was in slow motion.

The car truly is a presence to behold.

I love the ACR's, the srt10's didnt really do anything for me, but when the srt10 coupe's came out i liked those a whole lot better. I would definently pick an ACR anyday.

I suppose I'm in the minority. The blue/white GTS is one of my all-time favorite cars, but I still like the newer SRT-10 coupes better. Just the interior updates alone sway me. I've driven the older GTS coupes, and quite honestly they suck to drive as far as comfort and foot positions. The newer Vipers are much more comfortable to get in/out of and drive. Plus, when I see an older Viper they look just that....old to me.

I wouldn't even get the ACR if you are going to mod it. Just get a nice GTS and call it a day. Here's a pic with my buddy's blue/white GTS in the background. That car gets more attention than 5 SRT-10s...

You kinda sound a bit down on the vettes, so why are you here asking advice from cheesy vette owners? You really should try the Viper forum. No, I'm not thinking of getting a Viper as you indicate for a next car. That's a pompus Porsche owners statement. Maybe that would be a fitting ride? Vipers are, for one, a small mans car. 6'5" + guys need not apply.

Sorry to hear about your viper, did I miss the story as to what happened.

but bot, the ACR i think will be worth more in the long run if you care, but knowing you, you will mod the hell out of it, if I could afford a new srt 10 coupe, I would be all over it.
so long story short ACR
