Default Vette guys

hey guys, I'm looking into buying a vette, but unfortunately, my bank account isn't as healthy as some people. I want to buy a c5 and was wondering what a good-fair deal is on them starting from 1997....also, whats different about the models that are newer than 97'? I remember reading somewhere not to buy a 97' but I cant remember why. Thanks for the help. Also, im looking for like 65k miles or less if that helps distinguish a good price. I live in south Florida.

If this helps any, I traded in my '99 A4 coupe that was loaded with every factory option available at the time, along with a Vararam CAI systym and 32k on the clock for $20k. The car was garage kept and impeccably clean. the deal was closed in October of '05.

you will be looking at $17k~$23K depending on condition and miles

...'97's just suck cuz it was the first year for the LS1's and C5's... first year production cars always suck as there's a lot of kinks to work out

There are plenty of trouble-free 97's out there.

Any problems on the '97's or '98's would've been sorted out by now.

Like RrCoX22 said.... 17k to 23k..

It depends on condition. When ANY year Corvette depriciates it goes to 60% of it's original price unless it has issues
(miles/damage/etc)

If you really want one and are ready, pm me, I'm a sales/finance manager at a Corvette only dealership. I'll make sure you LOVE your 1st Corvette.

GM had a fair amount of problems with the 97... it was the first year of the C-5 model with a new LS1 engine. The problems were mainly electronic gliches... and some were very hard to find.
