LG header gasket vs. OEM

I see most people installing aftermarket headers are using original style gaskets instead of the type that comes in the header kit. Is the kit gasket of really poor quality? Do the bolts that come with the headers even work with original style gasket?

I used gm gaskets. No issues, other then making a ton of power. LOL. see sig

Thought I would make another comment. Nothing wrong with the gaskets that come in the kit bro. I only changed to GM gaskets because I had to take my exhaust off and figured I might as well add new gaskets while the headers were off. LGM makes the best headers out there, and the gaskets that come with them work just fine. Hope you are enjoying your headers bro.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up buying a set of GM gaskets for peace of mind. So far I love the headers and I'm glad that install is out of the way. Now I can move on to a couple of the other items on my to-do list. I have not had much driving time on them but will be heading home midweek for the holidays and will definitely spend some more time checking them out.
