10.76 stock on drag radials
I remember the doubting of some of the Houston guys in the first two years of the LS1 scene, circa 1998-1999. In hindsight some of us, myself included, didn't give some of Houston guys props for having combos that worked well.

He claims a stock C6Z with stock everything including the clutch on drag radials ran faster 60' and 330' than the records for internal modded LS7 with 100-150 addition rwhp. The leaders in the nitrous power adders aren't getting an equivalent 60' and 330'. So definitely a bogus claim.
In addition his posts on the CF were written by a small team of posters under a single log-in, lapsing between elegant prose and 3d grade text replete with spelling and grammatical errors.
He was offered prize money for showing up at Atco and producing a 1.5x 60' and then undergoing an inspection of the car. No surprise that he failed to take the offer.
So definitely a bogus claim. Hardly the first. Won't be the last. He and his tag-team of bashers have been making the rounds of the Corvette boards writing the same bogus claim. Doubt many here will fall for it.

Thousands of C6Z have been run at the drag strip. And every serious driver has learned the limitation of the LS7 clutch in the stock car. No one has bested 1.65 60', no matter the tires, no matter the track; no matter the weather; no matter the driver. That's the record after three racing seasons since the first C6Zs hit the streets. The notion that anyone ran 1.50 in a stock car, as claimed by the OP, is a pretty bad joke that only bashers and the naive would buy. And that certainly doesn't include Pro Stock John.

Did you have the computer reflashed to eliminate the torque management?
Suggest you avail yourself of their offer. Proof needs to come from the claimant.

Quite a number of C6Z owners have tweaked the PCM to eliminate TM and boost the power a bit. They include a former NHRA champ (driving a 6-speed Corvette) who still could not beat a 1.67 60', though I saw him put his car in the 10s three times in Dec 2006. The limitation is the LS7 clutch. It lacks the clamping power to handle the torque needed for a hard launch. So a claim of 1.50 is plain silly. So is a 4.42 by a stock car. Plenty of experienced C6Z racers have said the same thing.

As cold as it is out there, you s/b making good hp now..
There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many guys on these boards talking garbage. Guess there is no way to stop it!

I say go to the track Pave and show them. You might not get that 60' time again but if you can get close to it and drive like a ****, you will prove ranger wrong. Definitely get a video.
I have never seen the track give both sides of the slip when one or both cars are running No Time. Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of running No Time?
After you two are done how about you and your whole group of hater take a challenge from me. How about all of you put $100 to $200 each in a pot, I will do the same. We pick a car that no one has raced, put our names in a hat. Pick 1name at a time and that person makes a pass. Who ever goes the fastest take all the money. I don't care what type of car it is, it could be anthing. I am up to do this and I don't care who names are in the hat, I may not win but I will be in the top 3. I will side bet on the 60' and the 330'
I see a pattern.
In that claim, the claimant was also "accompanied" by a group of bashers with very skinny posting histories. Analysis of the IP addresses showed multiple log-ins/screen names to the thread from the same IP. Imagine that. Kinda makes a mockery of one-man/one-vote doesn't it. And that bogus claimant, like this one, spent a lot of key stokes calling out anyone who doubted the claims.
An LS1Tech Sys Admin might want to take a look at the IP addy of the OP and those of his bashing-buddies. The results might be illuminating, and perhaps, once again amusing.
