Hey pitt, i've been looking around really hard at a LS2 for my car. I think i'm sticking with stock cubes though. I forget if they are 364 or 366 cubes. Looking to do a 11:1 compression LS2 with stock bottom end with something like a MS4 cam and my heads and intake for a while then put a really nice set of heads on the car. Looking for around 465-475rwhp with my heads on the car. Then put some nice heads on and hope for around 500rwhp and 10.5x's at 13Xmph.
If i could afford it I wouldn't definitely recommend a LS2 402 with nice heads/cam/intake. Probably do around 550rwhp and be absolutely bad *** streetable. money is not in my corner though and I may have to try to do the swap myself with someone else/shop doing the motor work

Hey Z,
Happy New Year.
I have a bad news reason for shopping..I don't want to say anything yet to give the vendor a chance to make things right. I will say, my 20,000 motor is more than likely...toast. I wll get back to you in a couple weeks. If something isn't done, you will see a post on every forum I can find..."How to Destroy a Motor in 2 weeks"

Yes they better make this right with you bro, theres no reason whatsoever for what happened to your motor to, well ,ever happen.

Id really like to see a 402/408 in that car, but i also know your chasing the fastest stock bottom end Z06 record, either way you go we are here to burn some sweat and spill some blood to get that beast back on the road

I'm waiting on an estimate for a 418 stroker shortblock from TSP and am also going to ask Erik Koenig for an estimate also. Have heard nothing but good about Erik and HKE, and know alot of people who have had good results with TSP's engines also. Will keep all posted as to what I decide to go with.

Yes Pit, The ALuminum 418 is the 6.2L block with a 4" crank. I'd like to know about your present set-up and what's going on with it. PM me if you want.
Thanks, Jimbo

Will do Pit. My car is a street car that sees the dragstrip 4 or 5 times a season and a couple of DE's a year. It's not a daily driver, but I do put miles on it as I use it for trips up the front range when the weather is good.
(25k miles in 4.5 years) A far as rwhp goals, looking for 550 or so, now that I built up my drive train to handle it. Check your PM's.

Exactly my story Jim, 12,000 in 2 yrs. I was hoping to hit 550 rwhp and be a street machine also. My track time is about 50 1/4 mile runs a year. I built mine to handle 600+ hp just incase I went with nitrous one day, so it is ready for a stroker.
Thanks, got your pm.

I've been using Dave@CDNperf for my motors. My last motor was a 347 that made over 900 rwhp with a F1R. I just got a 402 from him now. If you look at my project post he's updating the 427 i there to be blower friendly and adding a F1C. He's a sponser on here-www.cdnperf.com
