Just curious as to why and how anyone would want more than 500 rwhp for a daily driver. I have a 700plus HP Vette and it will smoke the 315 Drag radials at around 70. It is kinda scary yet I read all these post and watch the street racing videos of guys racing their cars and hardly any traction issues.
My car wouldnt outrun a New Mustang due to NO traction. What does everyone do to increase their traction for hotrodding on the street. Just dont do it? I dont think having the 3.90 gears helps much but too expensive to change out.

A big question is what brand of dr's are you running? If you have nittos that's why and even with bfg or mt your going to have some traction issues because again 700hp is nothing to laugh about.

That's kind of why I chose to go nitrous instead of FI or big cubes. It drives like any other vette unless I'm spraying. I'm not quite at 500 at the wheels, but 430 will still light up the tires at 70 if not done right. As for traction suggestions, make sure you're running DR's and just learn how your car accelerates from different speeds in each gear and try to get maximum acceleration without wheel spin. With that much horsepower, you can pretty much outrun anything on the road, even feathering the throttle.

I had a set of them mounted on 17" by 9" for the strip and I dont think they hooked up as well as these BFG G-force drag radials do. I will look into the 18", they might be ok if they have them in 315 to 335 series.

I have Nitto's on my FRC and I get traction. I run 335 30 18's on an 11 inch rim and yeah I can still spin them, but once their warmed up they hook pretty well. If the MT street radial didnt work for you go to a MT et street tire (not radial) those worked great on my 600+ hp Cobra

Making over 600rwhp right now, I drive on Zrated tires,...and I drive the car daily. Traction under 80mph is, nothing of the sort. ZERO TRACTION. But,..I try and modulate the thrtlle as best I can to keep the car moving forward without spinning. I try not to lift,..if the cars pulling straight enough. I have 3.42's soo, no 3.90's. BUt, I have raced my cousin who has 3.73's and a 427(560+rwhp) and I have raced my buddy wavrdr (402 w 3.90's) and BOTH of them are running toyo RA-1's(the road race tire)... and they have very little traction issues.
For example, my cousins car would spin any Z rated tire going WOT in 4th. Now, he can go WOT in second,...and it'll spin but, it's it's accelerating hard still. Third, no issues...hook and book.
Try out those road race tires, especially for ah,..."spirited" 100+mph drives with lane changes. I'm gonna try a set, as soon as I need em. All 3 of our cars do run a between a 305 and a 345mm tire. Also, my cousin and I both have coilovers, and wavrdr has a Z06 with fully adjustable hal's.

Maybe shocks are the answer. I wander how hard it is to swap from the ajustable shocks to goo reguler shocks.
By the way which road race tires? I have 18" wheels on all four.

Hoosier makes the R6 road race and A6 auto cross tires in your size. It's a slick with two grooves in it. Treadware rating of 40. I'm putting mine on soon, so I don't know how they feel yet. They look great though.
