Default Pit-man \ Rev-Extreme Stroker update

Well, if dropping a valve at 6500 rpm on New Years Eve wasn't bad enough, my AFR head got hammered, piston broke and cylinder scarred. So off to the machine shop for a sleeve in # 6 and then Tracy at Rev-Extreme was going to start on my stroker. Everything looked good till the machine shop cracked my block putting in the sleeve. Tracy was able to find a used LS6 block for $250. Here is where we are today. AFR heads went in for repair..parts arriving daily.

My Fast is ported and new TB in place

Looking good pittman..... I'm curious as to why the new fuel rails???? Plus i'm really curious why the TB appears to be upside down??? The actuator looks like its on the opposite side? Is there something you're not telling us?

Z, if you notice, the fuel rails are about 75% larger than the original. Tracy is running some stealth nitrous lines inside the fake larger rails. He saw your post about adding a 100 shot to kick my a*s and came up with a plan...haha.

I don't know whats up with the new rails actually or about the TB. I know when I put on the Fast and LS2TB last year, I had to mount it upside down because it wouldn't fit because of the power steering. I think the new vetts might be that way also ?? See the pic of my old setup below.

By the way, what brand tire are you using for skinny's ? Are they 16" ?

Pit.

No doub Sig..probably 200-300 hits before I shut her down. That would beat up anything. Thank goodness they can be repaired.

Default update

Update from Tracy @ Rev-Xtreme...waiting on heads...due any day now. I decided to go with fixing my AFR 225's instead of new heads. Pete Incaudo dropped by Tracy's and inspected the heads. He said to fix them, they wern't that bad at all. He gets them all the time in worse condition than mine.

Pic of engine bay http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...itingon383.jpg

Pic of paint protection http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...protection.jpg

Won't be long now...more pic's coming soon.
