Default 70 RWHP gains from AFR's and E-test cam!!!!!

This my good friend MyRagTop's 02 vert's car. I tuned the car last year to 345 rwhp with a set of Dynatechs and a Callaway Honker. We installed a small 224/230 cam and a set of AFR 205's milled to 62cc. The car picked up 70 rwhp! We will be adding a 90MM Fast intake and TB soon and redyno-then maybe a little more aggressive cam.

I saw this posted on another site and wondered about it because some folke were impressed. No disrespect intended here, but the final numbers don't look very good to me. A 70 hp increase for AFR heads and a 224/230 seems low, especially considering the at least 2700. cost just for cam and heads. While I am not a fan of AER heads I would think that the final outcome with those H/C combo should put out a lot more than that. If I remember Tony M's silver Vette put out 473 or something like that with a smaller cam + pully and E/wp.

You're smoking dope if you think you can get anywhere NEAR 470 rwhp without throwing in the kitchen sink.

Looks good to me! The AFR's are still some of the best heads on the market.

Tony's cam was no smaller but don't forget he had the LG longtubes, Ported Fast 90, heads milled to 59cc and a .040 gasket-if you want every last drop then you can duplicate them. I think 70rwhp for H/C and a combo that drives like stock is pretty respectable, 40 for the heads and 30 for the cam. I could get another 20 rwhp by pulling off the airlid and leaning the car-just to get a number-but what good would that be and what purpose would it solve other than posting numbers that are not "real". Don't forget this car only made 340 something before the heads and cam.

Not smoking dope. Just repeating what TM Rported in "Corvette Fever" about his own car. It seems he posts alot on here.
No disrespect to the original poster.
Don't want to get into a war over some one else's car.
