Be on the lookout for some vids by mid summer.

I got rid of my 07 because I liked the updates for 08 and I really was never crazy about the Velocity Yellow. My 08 really drives a lot nicer than my 07.

Surprising isn't it? After I spent enough time behind the wheel of my 07, I could really feel it, though. It's running out of breath at 7k. I think the intake manifold is at least partly to blame.

I have already came to an agreement with my dealer on the ZR1 and placed a down payment on the vehicle. However, when I buy it I'm keeping this Z06. With all the work that's going into this thing I'm not selling it in a year.

The biggest issue is the fact that the LS7 block uses 4 bolts/cylinger just like all the production LS blocks. There are ways around it for the right price if you don't want to go with an aftermarket. You can take an LS2 block, put some seriously tough sleeves in it, and certain shops can add the extra bosses for the additional head bolts. I know wheel to wheel does it and I've talked a lot with a guy that has one of their motors in his TT C6Z and it has been very pleased with it.

Sure. You can add head studs and aftermarket head gaskets, etc. I just wanted even more reliability, which is why I bought the warhawk block.

But I didn't want an older fast car. I wanted a new Z06 with a procharger.
you can also take the ls7 block and put the same tough sleeves in it, and have billet main caps, but it still wouldnt compare to a warhawk block

love the build... but that cam is HUGE!!!!!

It all depends on what you call a street car, but that cam will be way to big to drive it even weekly.

I had W2W build me a LS7 for boost last year. They send the block to ERL for sleeving and the machine work just looks awesome. Would I go this route again? maybe not knowing the warblock and the dart block are out. It was the only choice i had this time last year. Amazing how within the last year a stronger block with a six bolt option is now on the market.

Jorday is definately building a beast and hes doing it correctly with awesome parts.

Did you consider the even stronger Chevrolet LSX block. It can be had in the 9.24" deck height and you should be able to put any amount of boost you needed for any power desired. Once you add a large supercharger or turbocharger to any equation the size of the engine can get too large real quick. One of our shootout guys just built a 427" Ford for his Mustang and it has already run 7.57 @ 192 in the quarter. I'm hearing dyno numbers of over 2000 H.P.

The LSX is quite a bit heavier so we did not even want to consider it. We'll be pushing over 2000 hp is our new GTO drag car with a Warhawk as well. It can be seen here. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=34 Bob

The heads arrives last week, I put more pictures up last night on the website.

We're waiting on the Beck sheetmetal intake manifold and for the fuel system to arrive. RPM Transmissions is done with the tranny and rear, we'll stop over there this week to pick up all the parts. Bob
