Default New Z06 owner

I sold my '99 Z28 "cheapie Z" project car this past Sunday for $8,000. Yesterday I bought this: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

I paid $25,000 for the Z06, which I think is a hell of a deal. I will be picking her up next Saturday, 5-17-08. I hope I can tolerate the wait! Just wanted to share my new toy!

Nice find !!! Just wait until you drive it, then drive it after the headers and x pipe are on. I am very curious to see what kind of power the TSP headers add. I am an LG Motorsports customer myself, but for the price, those TSP headers look damn good. Need a baseline and a tuned with headers brother. Hook us up. Good luck

I'm sure I will love the new car. My dad had a torch red '03 Z06 that I drove before he got the '06 Z06 he has now. The car was incredible. I can't wait to get the car and start modding it! The other great thing is i'm going to keep the SS'. Hopefully I don't get bored with them...only time will tell. As for the truck, I think I will be down sizing to a 1/2 ton crew cab 4X4...Ford of course.

I had been looking for about two months and this was by far the nicest and least expensive '03 or '04 low mileage Z06 I looked at. I think I have done well.

My buddy and I drove to VA this past weekend and picked up my new Z06! The car is amazing! Here is a link to some pics of my car...http://s280.photobucket.com/albums/k...orvette%20Z06/

The car was dirty after driving through the rain in VA. I will be waxing her up tomorrow and will probably post up some more pics tomorrow. Until then here are some preliminary pics of my Z06.

Congrats on the purchase. Now let the modding begin.

Instead of getting the Vararam you should take a look at the Callaway intake. The Callaway is easy to install and you don't have to worry about upgrading your airbridge. Considering you don't get an airbridge with the Vararam the Callaway really isn't the much more.

So the Vararam is not the best choice? I had read on tech that some guys have had issues with water injestion, but I am willing to give it a shot. Time will tell what I think of the Vararam. I'm gonna put it on tomorrow...we shall see.

I actually considered this car when I was shopping for mine back in January. I lived in Norfolk, VA at the time but ended up flying up to Jersey to get this one. I liked the EB plus this had 13K less miles but black was definitely my 2nd choice

trick when putting in the TSP's, pull the starter and if you can get to it, pull the bolt on the steering shaft and move it to the side. it'll make life ALOT easier. i LOVE my TSP's. Also you are gonna have to have a way to expand the X-pipe where it goes onto the headers. The gap will be too narrow by about 3/4" Fitment isn't the greatest with them but for the price difference it's a MINOR problem. They will bolt up to the rear section well. When you put on the steering shaft you will want to throw some thread locker onto the bolt you have to pull so it doesn't try and back out. Also it can only go on 2 ways so DO NOT turn the wheel or move the wheels after you disconnect it. If you remove the 2 things i said you will have a MUCH easier time installing. Just some help for ya. Nice car, appears to have some exhaust already done to it. like the tips look stamped in those pics. Good color choice too. Also, of all the intakes Vararam and Blackwing's are the BEST intakes. Both will net you better times in the 1/4 but won't help much on the dyno. I went with a K&N but regret it now because i'd net better times with the Vararam or Blackwing~Cole~
