Default 08 LS3 mild cam/UD results

Our latest. The before numbers were with LTs and Halltech CAI. We istalled one of our custom cams, springs, pushrods (tons of power there ) and an UD pulley.
This is a pretty mild cam. Lopes nice in open loop, once warmed up and in CL has just a bit of rough idle/lope.
We love the L92 heads. We've had great luck with them. I think primarily because we resist the temptation to over cam them.
I'm sure with a ported intake and ported TB we could get real close to 500 rwhp without ever taking the heads off.

Nice. Once it goes to show that the LS3 has a huge amount of potential. Those LS3 plain kick ***! You really think you can pick up 33 rwhp with a ported intake and TB? I assume you will go with a FAST setup?

Nice gain throughout the entire power band.

What is the idle speed that "has just a bit of rough idle/lope"?

I assume this another secret spec cam or are you going to provide the details?

LOL Yep.
No cam specs. It is mild by pretty much anyones standards.
Idles at 750. Noticeable, but not choppy.
As for gains from a ported intake, we've seen over 20 on a 6 litre. I would think we'd get 20-25 from both a ported intake and ported t-body.

I had heard speculation that the LS3 intake mani was better than the LS2 and that equivalent gains, respectively, were tougher to come by. Any comment on that? I am still on an uported TB/Intake mani as well. I figure I will just wait for the FAST to come out.

Sounds like you got another good outcome for your customer ED !! Nice low end torque too. You mentioned over camming the l92 heads, what ballpark specs would say you could get away with before you would consider those heads to be overcammed??

You heard right. They do not respond as well as the older L76s. But, we havent seen one on a cammed LS3 either.
I would still think the gains would be 15-20 combined with the ported tb.
