Many 170's and a 180, from a dead stop to 1 mile trap.

Many 180's at test facilities

I did a write up on this last summer. I actually ran into the guy at the grocery store the next day. We talked and he was pretty cool about it.

Well it's a good thing some officers don't have double standards! I know that if I were in your shoes I would've done the same. I know the military card doesn't always work...had my uniform in the front seat once going like 83 in a 70 and was courteous to him but it didn't matter...and this was back in '02 when 9/11 was a bigger deal. All depends on the person.

I took it up to 160 once or twice but did not care for the area I was doing it and took it back down. Ive been 165 in an 03 cobra and I felt like I was going to fly off the road. I definetly feel alot more comfortable in the z06 at that speed then the cobra.

Would've loved to have gotten pics of the faces of the riders on the gsxr 1100's that I blew past. I think they top out at 186. I am sure they were in disbelief. This was done at 130 am and nothing but me, my buddy, and those two bikes on the road, oh yeah and the cop that decided to chase me outside his jurisdiction. NO ticket though.
lol I don't know about the gxr1100 maxing at 186 but my busa will go past 200 on the speedo and belive it or not it holds well around 190 too 200 for 2 wheels

Aren't they governed ?? I would've expected them to have caught up. Instead they just feel back until I let off.

I'm not sure if the model that your talking about is governed or not mine is a 04 and it's not........they tried that top out at 186 for a little while and pretty much thru that out the window. But your correct it was like that for a while but not sure of the rest but the ones I do know of are the zx14 and the busa both are 200mph bikes.

A guy I work with has the zx14, lowered and ext swingarm and few other little goodies. He's unbelievably quick and FAST. That extra 300 cc's really helps the KAW get up and move. I think he said he did a 9.00 at 150. Not sure........so don't flame me, I am not a bike person.

My boy Smitty only weighs about 150 lbs. Maybe that helped. I don't think he's got anything else done to it either. He did have the k12 when it first come out and did a big bore kit, full tuning, lowered, ext swing arm and he ran 8.90's. That was his baby until someone didn't see him and squeezed him off the road. Bike was totalled. He was devastated emotionally, but physically only a few bumps and bruises due to wearing full leather and gloves with a helmet.

just curious if any of you that have been north of 185 scorched your differential fluid, mine was my tuner is looking to put a pump in to keep that from happening again, just curious if anyone else has run into that problem.

I am not aware of any issue with my car. When I changed the fluid, it still looked new. Gotta love Redline Synthetics.

Maybe I should try that then, it is possible it was not due to that but when he put the new half shafts in the differential fluid was brown, and had scorched marks on the inside of the casing, no telling though might of been something else, I have been nervous though of taking it back up that high for a sustained time, I will try the red line though thanks allngn_c5.
