Question for myself. PIC'S******
I knew it, that damn motor ain't gonna be the first thing to break, as it was a factory freak LS6. I may trade him for my 383 Shafiroff
!!! Actually, you are in a good place, as I know we have quite a few talented HEMI tuners out that way....
I'm going to go with PS2's for normal every day driving and then have a rear spare set for when i want to hammer it. I have to run at least 18" all the way around because of the 14" Wilwoods, plus I need some road clearance as my body is all composite material and if I hit something with the front, it's going break my whole front end.

I just caught your message about the vette show, oh well, maybe next time as I am down here every couple of months on business.

I think his parts bill was around $45K with him doing the labor.
He did coil overs, tranny, clutch, rear, fuel, turbo system, etc ....
Based on my own experience it gets up there quick + I did a lot of body work, interior changes + upgrades and converted from an auto to six speed. I'm approaching the six figure mark with me doing everything except painting and installing the body kit and that does not include the cost of the new engine or turbo system yet to come.
I'll need a fuel system, oil cooler and a few other odds and ends to wrap up this build.
I've been able to buy and sell a lot of parts that has helped control some of the cost, plus I've found a few good deals.
Very expensive hobby.

lol. Yeah,..it might go on for another year or two...or i'll have to make some part two....SAGA anyone? crap.
As far as modding,...that'd be cool if this post in some way inspired more people to mod there cars.
Seriously? seriously?
Dude. I'm thinkin a set of 2.73s would be your best friend the way the power is coming on....may almost make it drivable below 100 MPH....?
I see lots of big power turbo cars dropping their gear ratio, but never thought you actually had a 2.73 unit to use. Wow. Might be the key.....look into that
I would have to agree with the above..
I know the cars aren't really comparable but my old c4 with a 434 Donavon/ T trim with a 300 shot
loved a 308 gear with a 28" tire, stock suspension
Car ran a best of 9.38 @156 on old dot m/h racemasters and that was just hitting the spray in third 9.87 @ 142 on just blower
Carnage is good for The Soul.
Here's another view from dyno night:
http://www.frequencyequalsbass.com/d...short_dyno.mp4
Tuesday night I left the show,..hit first...spin spin spin,..quickly but slowly engage 2nd,...HOOK/CLUNK and I went clutch in...and coasted.
Anyways,..just pulled the car inside today....it had all the fluid on the rightside of the diff....and underneath the car.
Nothing APPPEARS split but....something happened on the right side. The axle is still in place but the small seal is slightly pushed out. The fluid on the outside of the DIFF,..has thin metal shavings in it.
So, I either did something wrong(..if you've ever worked on diffs, this one is probably the easiest ever,...I don't see what I could have done to screw up but, I am human)...or the car didn't like the new clutch packs and fesh fluid.... even though the fluid in the car was super new....
Cars a 00 by the way slickster.
Now, if you wanna go 200+ with more comfort, a regular C5 would be your best bet, since theres less turbelance on the rear decklid then a FRC car. They're more aerodynamic freindly. If you moving while there is some rain out,..lets say 80mph highway cruise....you can watch a tornado on the back window of my car.

I don't want to go there and have some dude tell me I can only do 170...cause thats what my car is rated at.
motor/cage/morefuel/brakes/trans and possibly the lottery to getthe car there. I also want to do the roof,..as in aero work. I want to install the two slats you see on the roof edges,...or almost any high speed racecar. They're designed to break up the air going over the car, should it go sideways. These can be sen easily on a nascar....or several standing mile cars,..vipers..C4's..etc. Stability is key.
The blue car has been ready for that event for a while now. Just gotta get the new intake manifold and direct port dialed in...which were hoping to do tomorrow.
