helpp?? 13.60's?
so i took my car to the track sat. very dissapointed... ran 13.64 at best... when i ran it stock 13.5, 60 ft. time was 2.1 when i launched at 2000 RPMs... i have an a4 i had in 1st then after i launched. i just put it in drive and let the computer do the work.... seemed like it ran better than it did shifting myself? guess with a little practice it should do way better
just put my headers on the day before and had the cutout open.
3.42 gear and stock stall. had very poor takeoff?

If you are looking for a better time slip in an f-body, don't add power, just make it work for you. Add a torque converter and suspension. The power is there in stock form from these motors, the package is not there however.

What was your trap? My first time to the track in my car, I could only do a 13.7x on street tires, and 13.5x on dr's. I went back a second time and only ran on street tires, and I got the time in my sig. I leave it in drive the whole time. I do a quick clean off on the tires, stall to ~1500rpms, and let off the brake on the 3rd yellow, quickly rolling into the throttle. Can you post your whole slip?

Well, you really should get a tune since you put headers on. If you're not spinning, you should try launching harder. Maybe try not stalling, and just punching the throttle on the 3rd yellow. Definetely get a tune, you're trap seems a little low for your mods. Just keep practicing. If there's still issues after the tune, maybe check the general maintanence on the car?

I have pretty much identical mods(Full exhaust, 3.42, lid ect.) and I ran the same thing, a 13.6. The car needs to be tuned bad. I bet it will run a low 13 or high 12 after some tuning is done.

there is part of your problem right from the start. Get a set of old 16's from someone on here and you will be amazed at the difference it makes. Like was already said the car hs the power, you just have to get the parts to match it. I went 12.8 with just a lid/nittos/cutout, so its very possible as many others on here have found out as well.

You're more likely to break you rear end on 18" tires than on 16". The 16" tires will have a taller sidewall which helps to absorb wheel hop and distributes traction much better as the tire sidewall is a great deal of a vehicles suspension. Try you MT slicks and see what they do.
