Default Project HKE 445 is alive!

It's gone a best 60ft of 1.31 and ran a 6.00 in the 1/8th. The best 1/4 mile was a 9.50@141.43mph.

We got all of our license passes in so now we can start tuning on it and get it to leave hard.

445ci
6.2 alum block
TFS 235s
Hyd roller
pump gas

Here's a link that has more info, time slips and video.

BIG CONGRATS JAMES AND SHEILA!!! We are down here @ PRI and Erik told us how you guys were doing! Glad you finally got it up and running, im really pushing Erik to get mine ready now- thats very promising, picking up 90 hp/5 tenths is pretty big. Hopefully we can get down to Texas and race with you guys @ some point.

Awesome job for a first time out with a new setup, im very happy for you both, very nice results

Thumbs up

Wow, another badass setup. Congrats, looks like it pulls strong on the top end. What are you shifting at and what converter did you go with?

We were shifting at 6800 rpm.

The converter is a Circle D Specialties custom 8" with anti-balloon plates. It feels great!

He has a glide in his car now. As far as the Circle D converter the more guys that start using them the more it will become apparent they are the best converter out there period i'm sold after my swap i'll never look anywhere else. Tex your car is flying!

Nice setup, your car really launches great.I like how you have the suspension dialed in.It leaves hard and keeps the front end down, like a pro stock.

Thanks guys!

We did swap out the 4L60E for a Powerglide a few months back. Circle D took care of us in the transmission and converter department. We had been having wheels standing problems and had them under control, but we knew this new aluminum block 445ci was going to put us right back in wheelstand mode. The PGs 1.80 straight cut 1st gear really calmed the car down. Make no mistake, it'll go right on the bumper with the glide if we don't have the nose tightened up. We almost found out the hard way
