Uhhh so he only had an intake and a thermostat? That sounds a bit too fast to me (like .5 too fast atleast) If they really run that hard in 99% stock form then I need to trade my car in for one asap.

I think Rockingham is at 350ft or so elevation, so the DA isn't too bad. It is sad , that with the same mods, the Jeep can out run the Charger and Challenger in the 1/4 mile (they can overtake it on longer runs due to the weight and aerodynamics of the Jeep). Stock Charger and Chalengers I've seen at the track (srt8s) don't usually make it below 13.5s at best. The R/Ts are often 14's or slower, at Rockingham anyways.

It only trapped 86.7 in the 1/8th and 105.46 in the 1/4 for one of the 12.5 runs. Numbers are close to identical for all the other runs that day. It's very consistant as long as you give it a 25-30 min cool down...heat soak kills the hemis.

I was there and I questioned the damn thing, but I take this guys word for it. There was another one there too running 12.6 @104-105.

Just to help you out. Rockingham is 448' +/- 10' ASL. The DA that day was right at -400'. There was strong good head wind all day, probably 10 mph or so.

The best I got( in the 4th gen) at Piedmont (1/8th) was in the 8's(8.028 @ 86.99mph to be exact), stock converter, lid, 3.73s,headers,street tires, tune. My best over all was 11.43 at Rockingham, but that was after h/c,headers,sc,12 bolt,3.73, 3800 stall, built 4l60e,drs,tune and removed back seats. Of course, it broke not long after. The shop I used back then, no longer in business, did some crappy work on it, tune was off and it kept lifting the heads and the trans broke 4 times before I got a Rossler 4L80E, but then, once I got all the bugs worked out, some chick rear ended me at a dead stop at like 50mph...that was it for me and that car.
I can't wait to get the 3200 stall in the C6, I've felt like the thing has had 10's in it for over a year, and hitting 125-127mph in the 1/4, I think getting a better 60ft than the 1.85 (current best in the Vette), will take it there.

Yeah, your 60s suck in the Vette for the times that you're running. 10s will be too easy with a stall.

I know you told us the other day about the times you ran at the ROCK with heads/cam, but I could have sworn you were going 7.8-7.9. Still 8.0s is good. I remember thinking how fast your car was back then.
