Default Finally made it to the track!!!

Me and a few guys went to VMP for halloween, first time racing for a couple of us.

Very first run.

R/T .837
60' 2.210
330 5.822
1/8 8.770
MPH 83.52
1/4 13.400
MPH 106.41

2nd run was bracket. Had my dial in at 13.4. They set it at 1.34!!!!
Messed me all up, I think it just screwed up my concentration.

R/T .549
60' 2.600
330 6.213
1/8 9.140
MPH 84.49
1000 11.620
1/4 13.719
MPH 107.74

3rd and final before they closed down on us

R/T .644
60' 2.025
330 5.582
1/8 8.527
MPH 83.89
1000 11.027
1/4 13.127
MPH 107.39

All I can say is that was a blast.
The only bad thing is that they only have two more weekends open and I'm going to be hunting in MN.
Can't wait to get back into it with a lot more next season.
So if you guys have any constructive criticism I would appreciate it.
Oh by the way, this was all on Fulda Extremo tires! But they actually hooked up a lot better than I thought they would.
Thanks to everybody for their help before I went.
Nick

I hope my times will be that good next summer. I bought my car this february and have not done a lot of driving so I am hoping that next summer I will hit the track. Seeing times like those makes me hopeful. It really goes to show how much is really driver(2nd vs 3rd run). Good job for your first runs.

pretty good driving on street tires your first time out.its obvious youre experienced. couple questions.why 3.73s over 4.10s and were you using your linelock?i think you have 12s in your car as it is now though.

No I wasn't using the line lock, that's for when I put the DR's on it. I haven't even put the solenoid in it yet until I am ready for the other tires. The deal with the 3:73 over the 4:10's they were in it when I bought the car, I would have gone with 4:10's personally but if they are already in there, they are going to stay until they snap.
Which was also a problem I was worrying about. They just started humming last week and even brought a trailer just in case. But I think you are right. If I can get that 60' down just a tad and shift a little harder I can probably get it down to 13 flat, or barely into the 12's. But I won't be able to find out. Next season I'll be going back with a lot more on the car, hopefully my first run will be low 12's or in the 11's then!
I didn't think I did too bad for really only a lid and 3:73's in it. I'll have to check and make sure those are the right gears in it. It's sort of weird, I know they aren't stock, but the guy I bought it from didn't know a damned thing about it. I guess if I mark the tire and the driveshaft, and spin it I can figure out which ones are in there. I know they aren't stock, with my stock 99 I could pull 70 in 2nd, now this one I only have like 65 or 62, but that doesn't add up in any of the calculators I have looked at. Then I was going to try to figure it out by seeing what RPM I finished at and compare that to the chart at what speed I trapped at. Yeah I was a little too preoccupied for that, and a little too nervous to remember to look.
Anyway, thanks guys.
