The most important thing u will need is a dyno or street tune. You can either keep the 2.73's and add a 3200 to 3600 stall or, keep factory stall and add 3.73's. My guess is 3.73's with good tune 8.50's. but, you will be surprise what a stall will do to a 2.73 LS1 car.

the et doesn't bother me, but the 80 mph trap speed does.

this car has long tubes and true duals? i'd expect 86mph at least...you're missing like 30 hp somewhere.

not too bad if u get a 3200 and keep the 2.73's. you might not even notice the difference. In 4th gear cruising you will forget you even have a stall. It feel the same as factory once it locks up.

so how about the stall and the 373s will the daily ride be affected if that was the case?

Tune tune tune. The factory tune on auto's suck, they only wanted to get them off the lot without people crying about gas mileage at wot. Get her tuned with 3.73's then thank everyone later. Oh and put a 160 thermostat, it don't freeze too much in Florida for u to be real concern about taking too long to warm up. Just start her up 5 min. before you pull off in cold weather.

A guy at Memphis Motorsport told me when i ask the same ?. You can either go FAST or FAR you pick one. I know u would like to do both but it might not happen. I was driving 478 mi. from TN. to New Orleans on a little more than 1 tank 440ish without stopping for gas with stock stall and 2.73's. I haven't been down there in my car since the stall and gear but im sure it will drink like 1 1/2 at least. next time i drive it down there i will post my mpg.

2.73's are def killing you, i picked up .3-.4 by going from 2.73's (that blew up) to 3.42 from a 6 speed, also you definitely need a GOOD tune with headers

fwiw i had a bolt-on stalled 373 a4 car, weighed 3600+/- with me in it. i managed to get 22-24mpg mixed. car went 12.2s @ 110 @ 2500' da. the gears didn't hurt it that bad. it got 31 mpg when it was completely stock (3480 without me in it at the time, i weigh 210).

my 98 z originally had 2.73 also. I ran 14.05 stock. headers, 3.73 gears, 3500 stall and sticky tires and I run mid 12's in the heat in az. We still go on cruises up to the mountains with it. Pull the trigger, you won't believe what just a stall will do to that car.

Gotta get that reaction time up too brother. Ya just gotta take advice people give you. My first time at the drag strip i launched on green. When i got back around the circle the guys told me to launch on the last yellow light, cut about half a second off my reaction time.

Can't remember my 8th, but mine did a 13.4 @ 104 (2.0 60) with a lid and the muffler hacked off. With nothing but Pacesetters and a Y-pipe, those dropped to 12.9s (1.9 60).

Don't hate on her too bad. Your 60 is about as good as pissed on pancakes. Get that down to the lower 2.0-1.9 range and you'll see a nice improvement.

Dosn't need a tune with the few mods that he has.

Check ur plugs wires, fuel filter, change oil etc.. Make sure the car is running tip top. I have 2.73's with minor mods and im trapping 107-108 in the 1/4. Again, try the maintainence thing and try it again. Good luck!

Sorry I'm so late on this, but your times don't ******* matter because you drive a god damn mustang that doesn't have any ***** up top. Same goes for the Cobra.
