Was you runnin at KCIR? Times like those sound like maybe the clocks were out of calibration or something. I dont know if thats possible or anything just guessing. Down in Tulsa, especially early in the season, Ive personally seen my car and friends' cars run ridiculous slow times and mph when we know it couldnt be. Less than 100mph would be a turd for an LS1, even stock.
Yes it was kcir, couple weeks ago I was running 14.1 with zr1's. I got a partial tune and some 16x8" drag radials on firebird wheels along with stock camaro wheels on the front. With that I just ran a best of 13.38 at 106 over the 101 it was running.
The track was in poor condition the first time I ran but the times werent off. I dont know why my car wasnt running the way its supposed to. Im hoping for high 11's low 12's with dart pro's, cam, stall, exhaust, and pulley added in the future.

So other then one guy.........with the screen name "unbelievablels1" and magazines.....no one has done it. The guy who said it may not be very bright but most of the people on this site are far behind him it seems.
I personally know of a magazine test that when published had far different numbers then I witnessed in person. It was a exotic car test, and they were all "adjusted" about a second. I dont know how the hitech perf test was done....but personally I give little credibility to all news information. I know the clocks said"12.xx" but I also know that the clocks can be corrected too.
So, so far.....exactly ONE guy has a 12 sec slip in a stock car.....yea they all run 12's....sure...

Old thread, but my buddy went 12.77 @ 111 with stock F1's in a stock full optioned 2002 SLP SS M6. Then went 12.5 with DR's and a Lid babying it so not to break his rear. My other buddy went 12.8 @ 108 w/ 1.9 60' in a 2000 T/A A4 with only a lid.

I know this thread is almost a year old now but I can't believe that after all of these years people are still actually questioning whether or not a bone stock LS1 F-body can hit the 12s LOL. Well, they can.
I've even seen a bone stock '03 Corvette LS1 hit a 12.63 (Evan Smith ran a 12.66 years earlier in a '99 C5 hardtop as well).
Yes, that was the same car pictured in that link from 'Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords' (sister publication to 'GM High Tech Performance', they often shared articles) back on the first page of this thread, here it is:
Keep in mind that car was fully optioned, carrying almost a full tank of fuel and it was summertime.

This post is back from the dead again.. ..I do not know why people keep posting up times of their car or their brothers neighbors car that is not "showroom stock". Which means NO MODS OF ANY KIND and using the tires that came on it from the factory meaning NO DRAG RADIAL TIRES........ The point of the original post was that some SHOWROOM STOCK F BODIES have run ETs in the high 12s. The magazine article that was originally posted on the first page of this post and now reposted above was in "MUSCLE MUSTANGS AND FAST FORDS".

Back in 2006 I got a 13.15@107 out of my 2000 Z28 M6 just as it came off the showroom floor. Stock 245/50/16 Good Year street tires and even a paper air filter!
I just looked the DA up on Dragtimes.com of that date and time and it came out to 160ft which is super low for that particular track... my times in my sig for both car's are in 2000-2500 DA area!
Here's the slip:
While I was looking at these older pics on my photobucket I found my same stock dyno sheet for the car... It only made 297 or so stock, I pulled the air filter out and left the stock lid open and it put down 303hp!
