13.7 is fastest 4th gen F body
I ran into a guy that said that the fastest time he ever heard of for a stock F body car was 13.7 and that it was impossible for a stock F body to run a ET in the 12s. When stock I ran a 12.96 back 6 or 7 years ago but I have moved since then and do not know where the time slip is. I know there are a bunch of you guys out there who can produce varification on stock F body ETs. Please post up.
PS We are talking about LS1 powered cars.

well there is a loose teminology with that statement, "stock" as in unmodded as delivered from the factory......or stock internals with all bolt ons....
stone stock no bolt ons will NOT run 12s.......
however there are a few bolt on Lt1s that run 12s and even fewer runnin 11s.
personally i have a mild bolt-on Lt1 6spd that runs lo 13s @3000' DA

OK to be more specific, Ls1s
1999 formula,A4,lid,DRs,cutout.....13.36 @105 3000'DA
2000 SS,lid, A4,Ls1,3600 stall,DRs... 13.0@107 3000'DA
2002 SS,lid,m6,DRs....13.45@106 3000'DA
these were all the same evening i will bet any of these cars would have run mid12s at Atco,Hrp,Pamona etc.
all depends on the car and DA, we also have a 2.73 A4 unmodded 99z that runs 13.4s
magazine was not specific with"bad air" but they did have to admit who the boss was and still is! lol

theres tons of people with "stock" ls1s in the 12s. I had one with JUST a LM2 catback that ran 12.80s.
buddys 98 SS ran 12.96 @ memphis with just longtubes.
If the air is good they will run 12.90s with good traction.
I'm pretty sure I could just tune one and put it in the 12s. 6 speed cars need dr's to do it

I thought of that red SS immediatly once i read this thread.
12.69 with DR's can still be capable of 12's in PURE stock form. point is there are MANY factory stock f-cars that are definatly in the 12's, takes the right driver, day and starts to be inline with the universe.

Best I ever witnessed was a 13.07 by a local guy with a low option 1999 MN6 SS. He was not beating on it like Evan Smith did, ie. my friend did not slip the clutch out at 4500. The 12.89 run by Evan is completely doable even without mineshaft air though it helps.
